Covid 19 restrictions

We are getting a lot of inquiries about campfire sessions in the current conditions. We apologize that we have been unable to open so far, and are looking for solutions to make it work for everybody. We will post any new information here as soon as things change.

Wrapped up for 2019

Well its been a very exciting year with special guest artists wowing audiences, campfires blazing, and our ever reliable camp kitchen warming from the inside. Thanks to Gleny Rae, Frank Povah, Jason and Chloe Roweth (and Megan), Andrew Hull, and Archer for sharing their talents and stories. Unfortunately it’s time to wrap it up for 2019, but we’ll be back next year at Easter with a brand-new line-up of guest artists at the best campfire session in the country.

Campfire Royalty for the school holidays

We are raising the bar for the next few weeks at the Campfire. Jason and Chloe Roweth will be in charge of proceedings, bringing their vast catalogue of Australian music, poetry, songs and lore to the Back of Bourke Campfire Sessions. They’ll be in residence from the 8th to the 21st, make sure you don’t miss out !

The Bard of Bourke is Back !

We are so pleased to have the Bard of Bourke back at our campfire where he belongs. Hully will be performing at Campfire Sessions as our feature artist for the next 3 weeks – don’t miss your chance !!

Frank Povah Returns to the Campfire

The Great Frank Povah commences his residency at the campfire this week. Frank brings a wealth of stories, songs, poems and instrumentation to his fireside performances. Frank will be performing every Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday for the month of May – don’t miss him !!

Gleny Rae Featuring until 3rd May

Don’t miss your chance to catch one of Australia’s finest musicians while the weather is still mild. Gleny Rae will be entertaining the crowd at the campfire for until Friday the 3rd of May – not one to miss if you have a chance, so get along and enjoy the show !

Campfire Sessions is born !!

We are very excited to be launching ‘Campfire Sessions’ in 2019, though it is with a tinge of regret that we retire ‘Poetry on a Plate’ – it’s been a good journey, but we’ve listened to our audience and we’re bringing you more diversity from now on. Campfire Sessions will have the same great food, the same great service, the same great atmosphere, and even better entertainment !!

Gleny Rae, Frank Povah, Jason and Chloe Roweth, Archer, and others will all join Andrew Hull at the campfire this year, providing the very best line-up of original Australian bush music, poetry and storytelling.
